  • 12 February 2005 - The IAPBWB hosted 2005 TIAW International Meeting, Bulgaria 15-18 May, will be the first to be held in South Eastern Europe. The event will give an excellent opportunity for Bulgarian professional and businesswomen to meet, network and build contacts with representatives of all major networks worldwide, who have already confirmed participation.

    We'll mix business with pleasure as we connect with our colleagues during this week. Meet influential women, learn more about board governance and women's leadership roles, exchange ideas and views, develop business opportunities, network with friends (old and new alike!), and enjoy the sights and sounds of our colorful Bulgarian culture at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.

    Monday May 16th will be a full day Conference "Women Changing Business and the Civic Landscape," featuring the hot themes of EU Accession Management, Women Entrepreneurship, Leadership and more. Speakers will include men and women from the World Bank, Government, high-profile executive women in Europe leading well-known multinational companies, as well as major foreign investors in the region.

    The trip that will follow will be a valuable opportunity for businesswomen, particularly entrepreneurs, to have a look at the future EU member - Bulgaria as a place to do business and meet Bulgarian business leaders as well as for IAPBWB members and friends to establish valuable contacts with partners from Europe, America and Asia. The women entrepreneurs of Bulgaria are building strong companies and are very interested in doing business with companies around the world.

  • 2 December 2004 - The IAPBWB successfully completed its Project "Implementation of modern technology for fighting corruption" with a One day Workshop in Sofia. More than 30 participants discussed openly a wide range of corruption related matters. The overwhelming view expressed at the Workshop was that no efforts should be spared to fight corruption in Bulgaria, which influences negatively large number of people, slowing economic progress and development.

    The Project was carried out with Norwegian support.

  • 2-5 November 2004 - TIAW Global Partnership Forum 2004 Uncommon Women on Uncommon Ground (Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Washington, D.C. USA) is focusing on the challenges women face globally, with the belief that it.s timely and even imperative to examine the role of women leaders and to look at how they are redefining leadership in professions, communities and the world at large. Influential women will meet and listen to current and future women leaders from every walk of life and will look at how they can assume a greater leadership role within their lives and businesses. IAPBWB President Nina Noeva will be the first speaker from Bulgaria ever to make presentation at one of the most influential international women.s forums. This high recognition of IAPBWB.s activities in Bulgaria and internationally comes to highlight the importance of its leadership role both at home and abroad.

  • 12 December 2003 - The IAPBWB organizes the first videoconference in Sofia with US Assistant Sectretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Patricia Harrison. Bulgarian women-leaders will discuss with Assistant Sectretary of State, Patricia Harrison the challanges women face in the beginning of the 21st Century. See whom we are meeting here

  • Sept. 10-12, 2003 At the OWIT Annual Conference in Calgary, Canada, IAPBWB President Nina Noeva presents Bulgaria as promising business hub in Central and Eastern Europe.

    At the OWIT Annual Conference in Calgary (Sept. 10-12, 2003), the International Association of Professional and Business Women in Bulgaria (IAPBWB) is presenting highlights of this country.s advantages as a stable and predictable EU accessing country with high growth potential . a good place for making business and better use of its untapped and widely unknown resources.

    The Conference proceedings are concentrating on a range of approaches, implemented by both the private and public sectors with respect to fostering innovation through utilizing modern sales and marketing techniques, facilitating market access, revising government policy, developing export financing tools, creating a better learning system, and increasing the capacity to compete for investment.

    IAPBWB establishes new partnerships that will help its members and friends get closer to the World business community, thus strengthening their international business potential for growth.

  • June 2003 Monthly meeting of the IAPBWB with UNDP office in Bulgaria (05.06.2003)

  • Sofia, Bulgaria 4-6.12.2002 The International Association of Professional and Business Women in Bulgaria (IAPBWB) organizes, in close cooperation with Norwegian partners, an international networking seminar on “Professional & Business Women Against Corruption- Practical Aspects”. 


  • The goals of the seminar are: to increase public awareness in a wider regional dimension of corruption practices, make the voice of professional and business women heard and identify possible practical answers on how to reduce negative corruption effects on businesses and public services. The seminar creates an opportunity for business and professional women from South Eastern Europe and wider (Europe, USA) to network and discuss these and other issues of mutual interest. 

    A business networking dinner at “RadissonSAS” – Grand Hotel Sofia will be held during the seminar on Dec. 5, 2002.
