The International Association of Professional and Business Women in Bulgaria (IAPBWB) receives new recognition – becomes the international partner from Bulgaria to the Global Summit of Women 2002 in Barcelona, Spain (11-13 July 2002).

The The International Association of Professional and Business Women in Bulgaria (IAPBWB) was recognized as the international partner - organization from Bulgaria to the Global Summit of Women 2002, announced Ms Nina Noeva, President of the Association.

In a letter, addressed to the IAPBWB, Summit Director - Ms Irene Natividad stresses that for 12 years the Summit has brought together women business, professional, entrepreneurial and governmental leaders from around the world to network, share “best practices” and to present successful strategies that address issues of mutual concern. Previous Summits have been held in Montreal, Canada (1990), Dublin, Ireland (1992), Taipei, Taiwan (1995); Miami, USA (1997); London , U.K. (1998), Buenos Aires, Argentina (1999); Johannesburg, South Africa (2000); and Hong Kong S.A.R. (2001).

This year’s Summit in Barcelona, Spain focuses on increasing women’s opportunity to conduct cross-border business with an emphasis on accessing the European market. As in previous years, the Summit provides forum for women leaders to exchange strategies and solutions developed by women to address common issues. The Summit showcases women leadership globally, as well as shares best practices.

Ms Nina Noeva was invited to make presentation in one of the most interesting breakout sessions of the Summit – “Bridging the Digital Divide” and share the “best practices” of Bulgarian professional and business women in this field.
